November 8, 1995 – Don Kinser & Milt Aitken paddled Wolf Creek, which enters Little River just downstream of the Canyon in Alabama. There’s a different Wolf Creek inside LRC. (Apparently, there is a lack of imagination in naming creeks). Milt Aitken and Don Kinser pioneered this run with a fist descent and did it in open canoes no less. The exit on the waterfall was a hail Mary run because we couldn’t find an angle to scout it. The portage was awful, so we ran the last part of the waterfall blind. The rest of the run was quite fun – drop pool, similar but not as steep as Johnnies Creek.
At about 5 minutes, you can see Milt using an air brace. He got much better at it over the years.
