Carnage & a Dislocation on Little River Canyon – Canoes & kayaks

December 3, 1996 – Level was 7″ on the old bridge gauge. This wasn’t our first trip down LRC, but it was eventful. As you can see, Don Kinser & Milt Aitken’s canoeing skills had only slightly improved (maybe). In Humpty Dumpty, Mark Hicks, in the colorful kayak, dislocated his shoulder. As I was about to try to help reduce it, I told him this was going to hurt a bit, and as I just touched his elbow, it popped back in. We got him down to the Chairlift, put his boat on his good shoulder and rushed down the river to go back and pick him up with the car. It was an exciting day!
